We are currently hiring experienced exam room / surgical technicians.
Eligible candidates must have:
- 2-4 years experience as a veterinary technician.
- Feed, walk and cares for animals.
- Cleans & sanitizes animal cages.
- Ability to gather patient history by utilizing effective communication skills with clients and co-workers.
- Assists in physical examinations and diagnostic procedures. Have the ability to anticipate and assemble the required supplies and instruments as needed for exams/diagnostics.
- Takes vital signs and collects samples.
- Maintains accurate and detailed patient records.
- Completes laboratory tests and studies and diagnostic imaging (fecals, urinalysis, cytology's, blood smears, X-rays, etc.)
- Administers medications, drugs, and vaccines.
- Bandages and wraps wounds.
- Performs hydrotherapy and physical and inhalation therapies.
- Prepares surgery table instruments.
- Placement of IV catheters.
- Assists veterinarians in surgeries.
- Perform dental cleanings.
- Communication of patient status to owners.
- Maintains safe, secure, healthy, and humane environment by sterilizing and wrapping instruments, sanitizing operating areas, verifying shelf life of medications, and complying with legal regulations.
- Enhances service reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
