Texbrite Full Charge Bookkeeper
An established automotive warehouse distributor that has an immediate opportunity for a full charge bookkeeper. This position requires a mature individual that has the experience in all areas of bookkeeping. We are looking for a person with strong organization skills and communication skills as well as being extremely accurate and thorough.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Accounts Receivable
· Reconciling a high volume of daily invoices and payments.
· Reconcile the cash registers daily and prepare them for the next day’s business
· Weekly deposits three times each week
· Daily posting of AR checks
· Preparing monthly statements
· Collections
Accounts Payable
· Daily posting of vendor invoices
· Preparing vendor invoices to be paid weekly
· Code and enter operating expenses daily
· Calculating monthly Sales Tax and making the payments
· Reconcile Purchase Orders, Packing Slips & Invoices.
Other
· Will maintain the confidentiality of all financial and business information including payroll.
· Respond to telephone calls and emails from vendors regarding accounts payable
· Respond to telephone calls and emails from customers regarding accounts recievable
· Payroll duties
· Reconcile and record all credit card transactions in accounts receivable and accounts payable
· Month-end reconciliations and reporting
· Maintain all files in the accounting office.
· Review operating expenses
· Review, correct and amend monthly reports. i.e; balance sheets, income statements.
· Prepare budget reports and assist in forecasting
· Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local financial regulations and reporting reuirements.
· Calculate and pay the Texas Sales Tax monthly by the 10th of the month
· Maintain the petty cash accurately
· Order office supplies when needed
· Review contracts; health insurance, commercial insurance, waste services, utilities, telephone, IT, ERP software, etc.
· Maintain city permits
· Maintain vehicle registrations
· Enroll and administer insurance benefits
· Assist in preparing for annual tax return
· Assist in preparing for annual Franchise Tax
· Record and track employee PTO

Skills & Qualifications
· Understands and has experience with Microsoft Word
· Understands and has experience with Microsoft Excel
· The ability to comprehend Texbrite’s ERP computer system fully and be able to train others.
· 5 years of bookkeeping experience
· An understanding of accounting principles in payables, receivables, general ledger and payroll
· Experience in budgets.
· A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
· The ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors, clients and team members.
· A critical thinker with the ability to provide solutions
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
