What you’ll do as an Accounting Specialist
Assists with accounting records and ledgers by reconciling monthly statements and transactions.Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department, such as drafting documents and answering telephones, as well as administrative jobs, including typing accurately, preparing and maintain accounting documents and records, scheduling, making copies of correspondence or other printed materialReceives and verifies expense reports; reconciles expense and other financial reports with accountsbalances and other office records.Reconcile accounts in a timely mannerEnter key data of financial transactions in the database dailyProvide assistance and support to company personnel when neededResearch, track and restore accounting or documentation problems and discrepanciesInform management and compiles reports / summaries on activity areasFunction in accordance with established standards, procedures and applicable lawsConstantly update job knowledgeUse computers for various applications, such as database management or word processingComplete forms in accordance with company procedures.Support month end processDaily entry and coding of invoices into the accounting systemReview AP invoices for appropriate documentation and approval before paymentProcess journal entries for month end closeReconcile general ledger accountsAdditional duties as assignedWhat you’ll need
To be years of age or olderAuthorization to work in the United States for this companyHigh school diploma or equivalent, associate’s degree in business or accounting preferredKnowledge in Accounting processes and proceduresKnowledge in SAP or other accounting softwareProficiency in excel using pivot tablesKnowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managingfiles and records, transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminologyKnowledge office computer programs including MS Word, Excel, Google Suite a plusMust be reliable and extremely trustworthy.Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.Detailed, accurate data entry and proofreading skillsExcellent written and verbal communication skills.Punctuality and dependability are required.Work well under pressurePrioritize multiple projects and adjust work accordinglyMust be deadline and detail oriented.Must possess a valid driver's license and comply with company motor vehicle policyAbility to sit for long periods of time, while using repetitive and / or fine hand movements to complete computer-related tasks and / or other office functions.Work is performed indoors and in a typical office environment.Why work with us
