Create structural repair and modification documentation including detailed repair instructions and substantiation analysis in support of FAA certification for all Textron Aviation Propeller and Jet aircraft models.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review damage data, Engineering Drawings and Digital Data to ensure efficient load path and adequate structural strength and stiffness for repairs and modifications.
- Interface with Customers, Customer Service, and Service Center Personnel.
- Coordinate cross functionally to support business needs.
- Develop detailed repair installation procedures.
- Provide Engineering recommendations for minor repair development and dispositions.
- Develop Standard Repairs to be published in Field SRMs.
- Analyze modification packages to ensure adequate structural strength and substantiate for certification requirements.
- Utilize Finite Element Software to solve complex structural problems.
- Prepare Structural Reports in support of FAA compliance findings on aircraft repairs and modifications.
- Bachelor’s degree required in:
- Aerospace Engineering
- Mechanical Engineering
- Other related field
- Professional and diplomatic demeanor
- Strong sense of accountability and integrity
- Time management skills to support multiple concurrent projects
- Must be able to manage projects of various size and scope.
- Must be proficient in MS Office and CATIA.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
- Previous test experience preferred
