Position Summary
TG Natural Resources LLC (TGNR) located in downtown Houston is hiring a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Analyst to support the Upstream business. TGNR currently operates approximately 4,000 wells in East Texas and North Louisiana. This position will support various business units by providing technical and subject matter expertise with regard to map creation, data standards, and management of spatial and company drilling inventory datasets. Assist in maintaining company assets by properly representing the company footprint and accurately providing maps upon request. Key Responsibilities
· The analyst will maintain an accurate representation of company assets while providing courteous and professional customer service to several business units, consisting of Land, Land Administration, Operations, Geology, Engineering, and EHS.
· Continuing the onboarding of the company map portal including optimizing and publishing Enterprise layers for web map consumption that will be distributed to company employees and provide technical support for the portal.
· Provide GIS data management support including data entry and quality control, utilizing the Esri platform and Quorum.
· Maintain spatial data for new and legacy acquired assets and agreements.
· Prepare custom maps, presentation graphics, and reports in a timely and accurate manner.
· Perform geospatial data conversions and datum projections.
· Perform complex overlays of various geographic datasets.
· Independently prioritize work schedule to accommodate customer requirements and demands.
· Provide GIS support in due diligence and divestment-related activities.
· Identify value-adding activities and best practices as they pertain to GIS mapping and data management.
· Create and maintain reference maps for company operated and non-operated drilling operations as well as maintain spatial components of drilling maps to illustrate activity.
· Incorporate acquired drone data into the map portal and configure it for company use as needed/by request.
· Management of spatial components of company drilling inventory as needed or by request of the reservoir engineering department.
Qualifications
· A minimum of 5 years of GIS experience.
· Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in GIS, Geography, or Planning
· Working knowledge of relational database systems, ArcGIS mobile applications such as Field Maps, Site Scan, ArcGIS Server, and Esri programming languages (Arcade, Python, VBS)
· High proficiency with Esri systems, including ArcMap, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise as both a user and administrator.
· Proficiency with producing web-based maps and applications such as dashboards and story maps.
· Demonstrate an aptitude for learning new software and mapping tools quickly.
· High proficiency in Microsoft applications (such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
· Strength to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment of shifting priorities, demands, and timelines.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
• The GIS Analyst position is classified as light physical work in an office setting involving sitting, with intermittent periods of stooping, walking, and standing.
• Occasionally it may be required to lift, carry, push or pull 10-25 pounds.
