About the Role
We are conducting a confidential, exclusive executive search on behalf of a well-established and growing F&B distribution company based in the Bronx. The company is seeking a senior operational executive to step into a COO or President-level leadership role. You’ll serve as the senior-most onsite leader, working in close partnership with the CEO and Executive Chairman to guide the company’s direction and drive performance.
This is a hands-on, high-impact role with full P&L ownership and responsibility for overseeing all day-to-day operations and helping shape long-term strategy. Candidates must have senior executive experience (COO, President, Division President, or equivalent) and a demonstrated track record of full organizational oversight and P&L responsibility in a complex, high-volume operation.
Operational Leadership
- Oversee daily operations across production, warehousing, logistics, and distribution
- Lead purchasing, inventory, maintenance, facilities, and administrative teams
- Ensure high standards of efficiency, quality, safety, and compliance
- Manage sales operations in alignment with broader business objectives
- Implement systems and process improvements to enhance throughput and reduce costs
- Maintain and build strong relationships with suppliers, partners, and vendors
Strategic Growth & Business Planning
- Collaborate with the CEO and Executive Chairman on strategic planning and execution
- Own full P&L and ensure operational alignment with financial goals
- Analyze KPIs and business data to guide planning and performance improvements
- Lead infrastructure development to support scale and future expansion
Team Leadership & Culture
- Lead and mentor department heads across all operational and administrative functions
- Promote cross-functional collaboration and alignment
- Build a strong leadership bench and drive talent development
- Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and continuous improvement
- Partner with HR to support recruiting, retention, training, and succession planning
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred
- 10 years in a senior operational leadership role (COO, President, Division President, or equivalent)
- Proven track record of full P&L ownership in a high-volume environment
- Experience in F&B distribution, CPG, or related supply chain-driven industries
- Deep knowledge of logistics, warehousing, inventory, and supply chain operations
- Strong background in sales operations, production, and administrative management
- Experience with ERP/WMS implementation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Familiarity with F&B safety and compliance standards (SQF, USDA preferred)
- Ability to lead both strategically and hands-on in a dynamic environment
