Our client is looking for a HR Generalist to join their growing construction company. This is a long-term and onsite role.
The HR Generalist manages various HR functions, including onboarding, benefits administration, worker’s compensation, policy enforcement, 401(k) management, annual reporting (e.g., EEO), and employment law compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee new employee onboarding and offboarding.
- Ensure completion and documentation of mandatory employee training, including state-specific programs.
- Maintain and update HRIS, ensuring compliance and generating reports as needed.
- Manage employee benefits (enrollment, changes, and communication) via HRIS and Benefits Software.
- Administer 401(k) plan: process weekly payments, enrollments, separations, loan requests, and assist with annual true-up.
- Maintain annual reporting (OSHA 300, 5500, 1095, EEO-1) in compliance with regulations.
- Ensure I-9 document compliance with USCIS.
- Oversee employee leaves of absence in line with state and federal laws.
- Review monthly benefits invoices for accuracy and forward to accounting for payment.
- Ensure adherence to federal and state HR regulations.
- Union and non-union payroll processing
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 3 years of HR experience; ideally within a construction company
- Strong knowledge of HR policies and state/federal regulations.
- Union experience preferred, specifically union payroll.
- Paylocity experience highly preferred.
Salary: $70K-$80K per year; potential annual bonus, medical, dental and vision, 401k and MORE!
