My client is looking for a talented Laboratory Director to join their team! They are dedicated to using recycled materials to create materials used for the roads you drive on!
Similar companies reuse only 20% of recycled material, my client uses 60%!
Position Summary – The Lab Director is responsible for overseeing all Mix Design, Quality Control, Quality Assurance, and Research &
Development efforts. This position reports to the COO and will also work closely with the Sales Director to support our customers with approved Mix Designs that line up with specifications of each customer’s paving job.
Quality Assurance
Complete Internal and Regulatory testing on completed Asphalt (some examples /metrics listed below)
Gradation
Binder Content / Performance Grade
Air Voids / Moisture / Mix Temperature
Performance Testing
Density / Compaction / Workability
Visit Active job sites to verify quality
Visit completed customer projects to monitor long term quality of Pavement Materials
Research & Development
Generate and Execute research projects to reduce COGS, increase mix quality, increase sustainability, boost
recycled content and help grow new product lines
Desired Outputs:
Maintain Industry Leading Mix Quality
Manage portfolio of Mix Designs
Manage QA / QC
Lead targeted R&D efforts (Reduce COGS)
Maintain regulatory compliance (DOT / City / EPA)
Salary : $120,000 - $130,000
