Overview:
This Financial Analyst role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic, client-focused team environment. You’ll support critical financial reporting and analysis, contribute to strategic planning, and work closely with senior management to help our client achieve financial clarity and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly and annual financial statements with supporting schedules, and perform variance analysis to provide insights into financial performance.
- Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis, using various databases and collaborating with operational teams to assist in key decision-making.
- Review and analyze financial reports and records, making recommendations on reserve allocations, asset management, and expenditure trends.
- Support the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes by creating schedules and insightful presentations.
- Develop financial models to support planning, process improvements, and to adapt to evolving business needs.
- Handle assigned accounting functions, including general ledger maintenance, fixed asset management, and treasury transactions.
- Assist with the implementation of new accounting guidance to ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Prepare and post journal entries and reconcile accounts during month-end close.
- Validate and oversee general ledger entries to ensure timely, accurate closing activities.
- Assist with audit and tax compliance by preparing requested support schedules and documentation.
- Participate in special projects and identify opportunities for process improvements.
Qualifications:
- Team player who works well independently and aligns with the client’s core values.
- Solid knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles, with strong forecasting and trend analysis skills.
- Advanced Excel proficiency (pivot tables, complex formulas, data analysis), and familiarity with Acumatica or similar ERP software preferred.
- Experience with EPM software such as Planful or Hyperion.
- Strong analytical skills and detail-oriented mindset, comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with a process improvement mindset.
- Customer service-oriented, with a genuine interest in learning the client’s business operations.
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting, with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- MBA, CPA, or public accounting experience is highly preferred.
Salary : $85,000 - $105,000
