Honeywell Direct Authorized Controls Integrators (ACI) in Central and North America and an Authorized Controls Contractor for Schneider Electric, specialize in delivering high-quality solutions for hospitals, schools, and large commercial businesses.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a Sales/Estimating Professional to support and expand our growing team. This role is primarily focused on estimating but also involves sales-related responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have HVAC industry experience, a strong aptitude for learning, and the ability to build lasting client relationships. This is an onsite position, and local candidates are preferred, though relocation assistance may be considered.
- Hours: Monday-Thursday 8 AM - 5 PM, Fridays 8 AM - 3:30 PM
- Company Vehicle (Personal Use Allowed, Fuel Covered)
- Compensation: OTE with commissions $115,000 - $165,000 (Base: $75K)
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn and develop expertise in estimating for the electrical side of projects.
- Read and interpret plans, specifications, engineering drawings, and blueprints.
- Prepare job quotes, including pricing for parts, materials, and labor.
- Sell service contracts to new and existing clients.
- Assist with sales-related administrative duties.
- Develop a deep understanding of product pricing for end users, contractors, and service agreements.
- Build and maintain relationships with hospitals, schools, and large businesses.
- Follow up with end users, contractors, and engineers.
- Conduct site visits to assess project requirements.
- Prepare proposals and define project scopes for clients.
- Work toward sales goals after mastering estimating and product knowledge.
- Participate in client meetings, including lunches and networking opportunities.
- Handle a mix of inside and outside sales (no cold calling required—leads are already established or initiated by clients).
Lead Generation & Business Development:
- Engage with current customers directly and through mechanical contractors.
- Utilize paid software platforms to identify and bid on new job opportunities.
- Bid on projects, such as school construction, leveraging company’s strong reputation in the industry.
- Focus on accurate estimating to ensure projects remain within budget.
Required Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in HVAC sales, estimating, or a related role.
- Knowledge of commercial HVAC systems, ductwork, piping, and industry regulations.
- Strong ability and willingness to learn estimating; no prior estimating experience required but must be eager to develop this skill.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Ability to travel between Mobile and Dothan locations twice per month.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in Engineering (preferred but not required).
- Financial acumen and understanding of job costing (a plus).
