Duties and responsibilities :
Responsible for reviewing incoming client tender requests and providing responses, leading survey design and planning of 3D marine towed streamer surveys.
Collaborate with senior level management to ensure seismic projects are in alignment with strategic goals and partnerships.
Communicate all geophysical engineering and commercial aspects of surveys to vessel management, crew and subcontractors and provide day-to-day support to ensure smooth execution of surveys.
Ensure the quality control of sub-contractor's products.
Contribute to continual improvement and review of company working practices and standards as well as keep abreast of changes in engineering technology within the Latin America seismic industry.
Advise on geophysical engineering solutions and identify any engineering requirement.
Prepare engineering solutions to geophysical challenges, including risk assessment and operational analysis.
Stay abreast of industry engineering and technical news and trends, products, services, competitors, relevant information about legacy, existing, and emerging technologies, and the latest product-line developments.
Provide expert level advice and guidance to major international oil and gas exploration companies to assist them in designing their Latin America offshore seismic exploration programs.
Collaborate with sales teams to assess customer requirements, in order to design efficient and commercial seismic surveys, provide technical sales support for TGS' seismic products and overall increase TGS' visibility in the Latin American market.
Prepare and deliver technical engineering presentations that explain survey designs and seismic data features to customers and prospective customers.
Apply technical knowledge of seismic acquisition to establish engineering metrics for survey design.
Assist in developing, presenting, or responding to technical proposals for specific customer requirements, including requests for proposal responses and industry-specific solutions.
Work closely with regional Seismic and Geoscience teams to analyze Latin America clients' technical needs and growth opportunities for Latin American clients.
Participate in project operational meetings by providing engineering requirements on ad-hoc basis.
Job requirements (Education and Experience)
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Earth Sciences, Geology, Engineering Physics or related field of study.
8 years of experience working in the energy industry with specific practical experience in a similar role with a seismic acquisition contractor, developing the Latin America market for geological & geophysical products or services utilizing knowledge and understanding of production, completion, and G&G environment, business development skills and / or sales experience within the G&G segment of the E&P industry.
10% domestic and international travel required.
