Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair various types of cabling systems including fiber optics and Ethernet.
- Utilize hand tools and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to ensure proper installation and functionality.
- Perform fiber splicing and termination with precision to maintain network integrity.
- Conduct field service visits to troubleshoot and resolve connectivity issues for clients.
- Collaborate with team members to execute network installations efficiently.
- Adhere to safety protocols while working on-site in diverse environments.
- Document installation processes and maintain accurate records of work performed.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance service delivery.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in cable installation or related field service roles.
- Strong knowledge of cabling systems including fiber optics, Ethernet, and telephone systems.
- Familiarity with networking concepts and equipment such as Cisco routers is preferred.
- Ability to use hand tools effectively for installation tasks.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure high-quality work standards are met.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in various environments.
