Description
Principal Duty
Application Engineer II's are responsible for the technical application of TGW products and third-party equipment to complete a mechanical system design during the quotation phase of a project. The AE-II is also responsible for costing TGW products along with 3rd Party Items and creating a complete project estimation for smaller, less complex projects.
Tasks and Responsibilities
- Focus on medium complexity designs of the mechatronic material handling layouts through collaboration with solutions team, from initial concept to final contract design, using the TGW product portfolio and 3rd party equipment.
- Have a broad understanding of TGW Product Portfolio and high level grasp on 3rd Party items to better design MHE Systems.
- Present and develop concepts with customers as part of a sales team, along with internal sessions to create optomized solutions that best fit the customer requirements.
- Support the Applications Engineering Team with the training of AE-I's.
- Develop design skills to support AE-III and Snr. AE's with larger, more complex projects.
- Create mechanical costing quotation for both TGW Products and 3rd Party Items, along with pulling together a complete project estimator for simple systems.
- Use engineering knowledge to perform performance calculations for the system to ensure that the selected equipment meets the specified target rates.
