Job Description
The Electro-Mechanical Technician II is assigned to a specific customer site and works with the team of Electro-Mechanical Technicians onsite to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automation equipment (conveyors, cranes, shuttles, etc.) within the facility.
The ideal candidate for this role is a reliable team player, has a thorough grasp of electrical and/or mechanical principles, and possesses some prior experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing machinery. The candidate selected for this position will have many opportunities to develop and advance into more experienced positions within the company. This position starts at $27 per hour, with potential for more based on candidate qualifications.
This position is based at the new Lowes distribution facility in Statesville. (711 Tomlin Mill Rd., Statesville, NC 28625)
Primary Tasks and Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance activities pertaining to the automated equipment on-site, including conveyors, cranes, shuttles, scale checks, and carton-opening systems.
- Resolve customer equipment issues as quickly and practically as possible.
- Complete work assignments and the associated work orders as assigned.
- Adhere to the highest quality standards, while always ensuring compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Improve efficiency and performance to ensure delivery of contracted KPIs. Interface with the customer as needed to support operations.
- Monitor and maintain the site spare parts inventory, as applicable.
- Collaborate with the broader TGW Lifetime Services team to track, document, and communicate issues and lessons learned.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements Profile
- High school diploma required. Associate degree or Technical Certificate in Controls Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Electrical Engineering, or related field strongly preferred.
- Two (2) to three (3) years of demonstrated experience maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in industrial, warehousing/distribution, manufacturing, or related environments.
- Familiarity with HMI (human machine interface) and/or SCADA (supervisory control and data acquisition interface) experience.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings for use in diagnostics.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word, etc).
- Previous experience in electromechanical troubleshooting and repair of material-handling conveyors, AS/RS, and shuttle systems, preferred.
- Profibus and Profinet experience preferred.
