The Cabinet Finisher/Painter specializes in the final finishing and painting of custom high-end cabinets. Responsible for applying high-quality finishes on time; ensuring surfaces are properly prepared and finished; the ability to understand, evaluate, and prioritize workload while responding to changing deadlines; strong attention to detail and quality; strong work ethics; will relate well to others and have the ability to work successfully among a team of peers.
Production Shift: 6:00am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri
Overtime available every day
Requirements
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Specific functions as directed by the supervisor to facilitate training and effective output.
- Engage with Team and Technical Advisors to insure Safe and correct methods are used to facilitate requested output.
- Maintain a safe and quality based effort for any products that are processed.
- Develop skills and proficiency at assigned tasks.
- Clean up work area each day in accordance with plant safety and house cleaning standards.
- Process work in a timely, quality focused manner.
- Display a basic understanding of the information contained in the Tharp cut sheets and prints
- Attention to detail
- Display a baseline of understanding of the Tharp Quality requirements
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
- Familiarity with different types of wood, stains, paints, varnishes, and tools used for finishing
- Knowledge of safety protocols and standards to ensure a safe working environment
- Understanding of various finishing techniques
- Ability to notice and correct imperfections
- Skills in mixing and matching colors to achieve the desired finish
- Efficiency in managing time to complete tasks within deadlines
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members
- Ability to work well within a team to achieve common goals
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of quality in all work
Equipment:
Spray gun, pump systems, pressure pots and mil gauge. Anything else as may be required; **Proper training is required prior to use.
Physical Activities and Safety:
75% standing, 15% walking - Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Must strictly adhere to company safety policy, including: wearing safety glasses and air filtration masks and suits where required.
