A warm and welcoming family in Austin, Texas, is seeking a highly experienced, professional, full-time nanny to provide exceptional care for their 7-month-old son, who will be 11 months old by the start of the assignment. The ideal candidate will have between four to five years of hands-on experience working with infants, preferrably as a nanny, and possess a strong understanding of early childhood development, and be fully vaccinated. The nanny will play an integral role in fostering a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment, supporting the baby’s developmental milestones, and assisting the family in establishing new routines during their transition to a new home.

- Maintain and follow the baby’s daily schedule (currently 2 naps a day), ensuring a structured and predictable routine.
- Provide attentive supervision at all times, creating a stimulating and developmentally appropriate environment both indoors and outdoors.
- Plan and facilitate engaging, age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, sensory, and motor development.
- Serve pre-prepared nutritious meals, supporting the baby’s transition from bottle to solids.
- Warm and serve bottles to the baby
- Handle all baby-related care tasks, including diaper changes, dressing, and nap-time routines.
- Wash, sanitize, and organize bottles, nursing equipment, and other feeding-related items.
- Manage all aspects of the baby’s laundry, including washing, folding, and putting away clothing, as well as changing and maintaining nursery linens.
- Keep a detailed daily log of feedings, naps, diaper changes, and other essential activities to share with the parents end of every day.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic environment for the baby, including sanitizing toys and play areas.
- Observe and respond appropriately to sleep and hunger cues, ensuring the baby's needs are met with care and consistency.
- Support the family’s transition to their new home by assisting in establishing and maintaining a stable and comforting routine.
- Trial Period and Start Date: The family seeks to arrange a trial period in early/ mid April, with the official start date in the first week of May.
- Parental Environment: Both parents work from home, and the mother is currently nursing. Ideal candidate must also feel comfortable with cameras and frequent check-ins from the parent.
- Physical Activity and Pet Compatibility: The role requires a physically active individual capable of engaging in floor and outdoor play, with the ability to move effortlessly. Comfort around dogs is essential, as the family owns a mixed-breed hound/pitbull.
- Proximity Preference: Candidates residing within a 30 -minute commute to the family's Austin residence are preferred.
- No External Errands / Excursions Requested - Basically we won't be having the nanny drive our infant anywhere or requiring them to take a vehicle from our home.
