Treasury Analyst / Staff Accountant

Thatcher Company is seeking a Treasury Analyst / Staff Accountant to support daily Treasury functions, as well as support continued evolution of Treasury and Accounting processes and controls.
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of related professional experience. Strong academic credentials may substitute for experience.
- BA/BS degree in finance, accounting, or other quantitative discipline.
- Above average computer literacy in MS Office, particularly with use of databases and spreadsheets.
- Experience with expense management tools (Concur, Divvy etc.).
- Experience with producing a cash flow forecast.
- Experience working with an enterprise ERP System (Oracle, SAP, MS Dynamics, Infor M3).
- Ability to analyze complex data and effectively communicate observations and conclusions.
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision.
- Willingness to take direction and learn new things.
Major Accountabilities
- Transactional functions including, but not limited to, cash account postings, journal entries, 3rd party payments, and bank transfers.
- Reporting, analysis and/or process improvement projects that support growth and effectiveness of the Treasury function.
- Assist in preparing a weekly cash flow forecast.
- Assist in month-end closing process by creating entries, reviewing and analyzing results, reconciling account information and providing reports.
- Administer Expense Management and Travel programs including creating and terminating accounts, auditing historical transactions, providing end user support, month end reporting etc.
- Communicate work effectively with Director – Treasury, Controller, CFO and accounting personnel.
- Perform periodic audits, review account activity and report findings and recommendations to management.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual returns for non-income tax obligations and business licenses (business license, fuel taxes, sales taxes, etc.).
- Participate in development, implementation and maintenance of internal accounting controls.
- Performs other tasks and projects as assigned by Director of Treasury, CFO, and corporate management.
