JOB SUMMARY: As an Abbey Resort associate, you will have the opportunity to be part of an incredible team at a full service resort situated on the beautiful shores of Lake Geneva. BASIC FUNCTION: Set-Up Attendants are responsible for arranging tables, chairs, and other furniture according to the event plan; setting up audio-visual equipment, portable bars, and other necessary items; ensuring the event space is clean and presentable before and after the event; and addressing any last-minute changes or requests from clients.
QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, & WORK EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Some F&B experience preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Ability to transport, handle and/or lift 30 lbs
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Arranging and dismantling tables, chairs, and other furniture according to event specifications
- Keeping banquet rooms, hallways, and service areas clean and organized
- Managing and maintaining banquet supplies such as linens, chairs
- Helping with food and beverage service during events
- Addressing any last-minute changes or requests from clients
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
- Effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability, and ethnic backgrounds
- Required to perform other tasks and duties as assigned.
- Scheduled hours may vary on business needs and may or may not include holidays, weekends, various shifts, overtime or reduced hours.
- Maintain open communication with management and other employees.
- Be well organized and efficient
ENVIRONMENT: Indoor and outdoor environments, working for as long as a function last. Indoor working conditions include walking on a carpeted areas and vinyl areas. Outdoor working conditions include walking on cement and grass.
