About Us:
The Abstract is an upscale bar located in Fort Wayne’s arts district, offering craft cocktails, gourmet foods, and a vibrant atmosphere. We’re looking for a dependable and hardworking dishwasher to join our team and help keep our kitchen and venue clean and running smoothly.
Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area
- Assist kitchen staff with basic prep work as needed
- Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, equipment, and storage areas
- Take out trash, recycling, and maintain outdoor trash areas
- Sweep, mop, and clean restrooms and other common areas as needed
- Follow health and safety guidelines at all times
- Support the team in closing and cleaning the kitchen at the end of shifts
Requirements:
- No experience necessary – willing to train the right person
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and attention to detail
- Availability to work evenings and weekends
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods
- Positive attitude and willingness to be a team player
