Job Summary
The Photographer / Videographer will be responsible for creating, producing, and executing photo and video content that supports the company's capabilities, values and culture. The ideal candidate will have experience capturing a wide range of imagery in and out of studio, with and without talent. This role requires a high degree of craft and technical expertise, along with the creativity and a passion to deliver first rate imagery.
Work Model
This is a part-time position based in Chantilly, Virginia, requiring 100% onsite work.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop ideas in response to creative briefs and brand initiatives
- Conceptualize, produce, and execute original photography and video content that aligns with corporate messaging and priorities
- Bring employee stories to life through video content across multiple internal and external platforms
- Develop and execute content that excites, resonates, and engages our core customers across various channels and formats
- Perform in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a creative, detail-oriented focus
- Supply updated corporate portraits for organizational charts, conferences, publications, and awards
- Partner with technical staff to document lab experiments, hardware and capabilities for usage in briefing displays, technical reviews, and trade magazines
- Lead in-studio and on-location photo / video shoots, including assembling sets, styling props, and managing lighting with either continuous or strobes
- Coordinate on-set production with employees (scheduling, instructing, and directing)
- Create photography and videography that align with corporate brand messaging, evoking emotional storytelling and enhancing audience engagement
- Maintain proper image naming conventions and perform daily backups of all photo / video shoots
- Oversee the maintenance of studio gear, props, and sets, with the ability to lift up to 25lbs regularly
- Adapt quickly to impromptu photo / video requests
- Manage and update the photo / video project list
- Stay informed about the latest advancements in photo / video production technology and recommend new equipment purchases as needed
- Manage post-production workflows, including batch editing, organizing assets, and ensuring consistent file management practices are followed
