Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director, Front Office to oversee the operations of our hotel’s front desk and be #2 to the GM . This leadership role is essential in ensuring exceptional guest experiences, managing staff, and maintaining high standards of service and cleanliness. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality management, with a focus on budgeting, customer service, and human resources.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of Front Office and other tasks assigned by the General Manager.
- Develop and implement departmental budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Oversee the recruitment, training, and performance management of staff within the Rooms Division.
- Ensure high levels of customer service are maintained at all times, addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Monitor room occupancy rates and adjust strategies to maximize revenue.
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance overall guest experience.
- Manage hotel phone systems to ensure efficient communication among staff and with guests.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are upheld.
- Coordinate night audit processes to ensure accurate reporting of daily operations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or related field preferred.
- Proven experience in hotel management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
- Strong understanding of budgeting processes and financial management in a hotel setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with a passion for enhancing guest experiences.
- Familiarity with resort operations is a plus.
- Proficient in human resources practices including hiring, training, and employee relations.
- Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply for effective communication with diverse guests.
- Knowledge of night audit procedures is beneficial.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
