Job Overview:
We are seeking a strategic and results-oriented Director of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving the company's financial performance by providing insightful analysis, strategic guidance, and operational support. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in manufacturing or construction industries. The position is on-site.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Planning & Forecasting: Lead the annual budgeting process, monthly forecasts, and long-term strategic planning.
- Financial Analysis: Provide in-depth analysis of financial results, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities to improve business performance.
- Operational Performance: Partner with operational teams to develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and drive improvements in efficiency and profitability.
- Decision Support: Collaborate with senior leadership to evaluate investment opportunities, cost-saving initiatives, and strategic projects.
- Reporting & Insights: Prepare and deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports to stakeholders, including the executive team and board of directors.
- Team Leadership: Build and mentor a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
- Systems & Processes: Drive improvements in financial systems, processes, and tools to enhance data accuracy, reporting capabilities, and decision-making efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with departments such as Operations, Sales, and Engineering to align financial planning with overall business goals.
Qualification
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (MBA or CPA preferred).
- Experience: Minimum of 8–10 years of FP&A experience, with at least 3–5 years in a leadership role. Experience in manufacturing or construction industries strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in financial modeling, data analysis, and reporting tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar). Familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead teams, influence stakeholders, and drive organizational change.
- Analytical Mindset: Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholder.
- Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
