What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tax Director position at The Alliance Group?
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Assist the Head of Tax in overseeing tax and accounting segments of the company
- Manage the preparation of US tax compliance and internal tax department staff to meet filing deadlines.
- Actively participate in the quarterly tax provision pursuant to ASC740 and tax related disclosures for the 10-K and 10-Q.
- Evaluates uncertain tax positions and prepares appropriate documentation to support company’s conclusions.
- Identify tax issues and devise global tax strategies to minimize risk.
- Actively participate in managing foreign entities’ tax compliance.
- Conduct tax research and summarize findings to communicate relevant tax considerations to management.
- Implement effective tax planning strategies and compliance initiatives under the guidance of the Tax Director.
- Mentor junior staff on tax and accounting projects and participate in performance evaluations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by management.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field, Master's preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of corporate tax accounting experience
- CPA license preferred
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Proficiency with tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
Salary : $190,000 - $210,000
