Inform, educate and engage members on organizational activities including ACOG programs, clinical guidance, products, events and advocacy. Develop and implement compelling communications plans and messaging across channels to improve member engagement and communications as well as strengthen membership recruitment and retention. As an integral part of the Communications team, this role will report to the Senior Manager, Communications and collaborate with colleagues across the organization.

Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day content creation and distribution across multiple channels, including website content, email communications, social media posts, and newsletters.
- Execute the content calendar and maintain publishing schedules for digital newsletters, including Today's Headlines and other member communications.
- Write and edit member-focused content that aligns with organizational voice and brand guidelines, ensuring consistency and quality across all materials.
- Facilitate the development and implementation of communications plans for organizational initiatives, campaigns, and announcements.
- Partner with various departments to gather content input and ensure timely review and approval processes.
- Draft and customize templated communications for different audience segments and purposes.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics and prepare regular performance reports.
- Manage developing and maintaining content governance documentation and best practices.
- Manage relationships with freelance writers, designers, and other content contributors as needed.
- Manage internal communications efforts by drafting announcements, updates, and other staff-focused content.
- Work effectively across the organization to cover and collect news items for inclusion in the digital digest.
- Ensure all communications meet brand standards and follow the ACOG Style Guide.
- Maintain organized content archives and digital asset management systems.
- Train other departments on content best practices and governance procedures.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Demonstrated customer service proficiency, exhibiting high standards of timeliness and responsiveness
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a demonstrated proficiency in copywriting and developing member-focused content across channels (such as email, website pages, social media, e-newsletters, print materials)
- Excellent collaboration skills (i.e., creating and working in a team environment, analytical skills, interpersonal and communication skills)
- Excellent problem solving and conflict resolution skills
- Familiarity and basic proficiency using email platforms (Magnet Mail) and presentation tools (PowerPoint)
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in communications, or related field
- 3-5 years of experience in communications in the health field

Compensation
The base salary for this position is $70,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, ACOG offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes the perks outlined below.
