Opportunity Summary:
In the role the Resources Generalist is responsible for the daily operational and administrative support for a broad range of responsibilities to support the overall HR function relating to all phases of the employee life cycle (e.g. hiring, onboarding, training, employee relations, talent management, and offboarding). This role is focused on what employees need and how to provide it. Additionally, this person will need to provide technical expertise in the HR systems, reporting and analytical support and an understanding of employment law and compliance.
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
How you will make contributions that matter:
- Be a key onsite business partner by developing strong relationships with employees leading to an understanding on how HR can best support each Anderson-DuBose Department.
- Support the Corporate Sr. HR Manager and employees with program administration, employee relations, retention, payroll, safety, training, performance management, compensation and benefits, worker’s compensation.
- Key Talent Acquisition leader, responsible for role assessment, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, reference/background checks, job offers, orientation and HRIS transactions (PayCor preferred).
- Interact with hiring managers to understand position needs and schedule final interviews.
- Conduct onboarding, employee exit interviews, investigations, and other employee engagement activities.
- Interprets, develops and ensures consistent application of all Anderson-DuBose policies.
- Maintains accurate records for personnel transactions such as applicant tracking, new hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting.
- Administration of employee benefits to include Major Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and 401(k) retirement programs. Interacts with carriers/vendors, ensures appropriate enrollment, premium deductions, and answers employee questions related to all benefits.
- Assists in administration of performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
- Administer vacation, sick leave, leaves of absence, and employee assistance.
- Assists with compliance matters related to all FMLA and Disability claims for assigned locations.
- Maintains HRIS database and produces reports for management as required.
- Maintains employee files in strict confidence and ensures proper documents are retained.
- Other duties may be assigned.
What You'll Bring:
- Education – Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources preferred.
- Experience – 3-5 years’ experience in the HR field and recruiting and manufacturing/distribution experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, presentation, problem solving, organization and time management.
- Currently knowledge of legal requirements for human resources, labor, and safety.
- Other Required Skills or Abilities –Customer service, recruiting/interviewing/staffing, technical skills (including Microsoft Excel, Word and Power Point), managerial/leadership skills, excellent administrative experience, attention to detail.
