How you will make contributions in the following areas:
- Being security conscious in all aspects of support and installation is required.
- Software support of all business needs including MS Windows, MS Office and others.
- Diagnose, remedy and document help desk tickets/resolution.
- Create, modify and delete user accounts according to established procedures. Archive end user email and other data according to established procedures.
- Perform data backups according to established procedures. Identify and correct potential gaps in the backup process.
- Manage and maintain core infrastructure systems, including Active Directory, DHCP reservations.
- Coordinate vendor maintenance and repairs for printers, scanners, android directed selection phones and other IT related equipment.
- Create and maintain documentation related to troubleshooting, system configurations, internal IT procedures, and end user procedures.
- Configure and install Intel based pc workstations and software.
- Research, test, and implement products and systems required to meet business objectives.
- Provide professional level customer service to all end users.
- Perform and/or oversee software and application installation, and updates.
- Continuously seek to gain knowledge to expand your knowledge of processes and technology solutions.
- Performs other duties as assigned by the IT manager.
- A bachelor's degree in IT is preferred. Formal training in Microsoft Windows 10/11, Office 365, and Active Directory is also desirable. MCSE certification is a plus.
- 2-4 years of IT work experience with help desk and other internal end user facing responsibilities.
- The ability to read and interpret documents both simple and highly technical. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees, customers or vendors, etc. Must be able to clearly communicate technical information to non-technical personnel.
- Aptitude to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percentage and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
- Capability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Experience with; networking/distributed computing environment concepts, operating system administration including configuration and installation, and printer systems.
- Knowledge or experience in JD Edwards is helpful but not a requirement.
- Would need to learn JD Edwards software and the ability to create SQL queries is a critical component of the job function.
- Organize resources and establish priorities.
- Be able to learn and support new systems and applications.
- The aptitude to tell when something is wrong or likely to go wrong, and determine appropriate corrective actions.
- The ability to combine pieces of information to form general rules or conclusions (finding a relationship among seemingly unrelated events).
- Must be available for evening and weekend work as system operating needs require or to respond to end user technical needs.
- Travel to other distribution centers may be required several times per year. This travel does not typically extend more than a week at a time.
