Job Summary:
The Property Manager oversees the residential property, the needs of current residents, and collects rent and required fees timely. They work with potential residents and fill vacancies as needed. Additionally, the Property Manager coordinates with our Maintenance and Landscaping teams to ensure service needs are handled timely and grounds are maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Collect rent and other property fees from residents.
- Advertises vacant units and works with assistant manager to find residents as vacancies become available.
- Meet potential residents, shows the property, and assesses their applications in accordance with Fair Housing laws.
- Reports the property's financial status, occupancy, and expiring leases to property owners.
- Inspects property regularly and arranges for repairs and new materials as required.
- Works with Maintenance and Landscaping departments to discuss repairs and landscaping needs.
- Manages porters for property cleanliness and trash removal.
- Investigates and resolves property complaints and rental violations.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Outgoing, friendly attitude with the ability to make others feel welcome and comfortable.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with good sales and customer service skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Knowledge of Appfolio a plus.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Three years of property management experience preferred.
- Five years of customer service experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer and standing and walking, giving tours, and meeting with potential residents.
- Must be able to lift 20 pounds.
- Must be able to go upstairs.
- Must be able to bend, kneel, and reach.
- Must be able to traverse a variety of properties with stairs and in a variety of weather.
Compensation includes hourly rate, housing, and bonus income.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
