Customer Service Representative

The Applied Companies is assisting a valued client, in the Carson Valley area, with their search for a Customer Service Rep.  This is a key position within the company, providing customer support and order processing in a fast moving environment.

What the Customer Service Representative will do:

• Handle incoming telephone, on-line, mail, and fax orders from customers. 
• Complete order form, updates order entry computer system, and sends order to shipping department for processing or schedules accordingly.  
• Ensure Managers are aware of large orders, both current and in the future.  
• Perform credit adjustments, invoicing and rebilling.
• Collaborate with co-workers to effectively manage/complete the workload.
• Liaise between various departments to validate information and support customer’s needs.
• Responsible for following up with the customer in regards to any changes in the agreed upon order.
• Assists when needed in collecting following week’s scheduled orders and sending to shipping department.
• Responsible for setting up new customer accounts, collecting credit references and following up with the customer in regards to their account status.
• Completes end of month reports in a timely manner.
• Performs switchboard and administrative duties as needed.
• Processes daily receiving log.
• What the Customer Service Representative needs to have:
• Minimum 2 years previous working experience in a customer service environment or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Strong computer skills with the ability to accurately enter data in the order entry computer system. 
• Ability to learn and understand a basic knowledge mechanics and related parts as well as company policies and procedures. 
• Excellent customer service skills. Sense of urgency, attention to detail, a flair for analysis and accuracy are essential to this position.  

Additional Skills:

• Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Excel.  
• Good working knowledge of various office machines including printers, fax machine, mail machine and photocopier.

7am-4pm; Monday - Friday
