The Applied Companies is assisting a client who manages rental and sales solutions to their valued customers with the hiring of a Parts Runner. They are looking for a reliable and motivated Parts Runner to join their dynamic team where you will be working with the technicians and transporting parts to clients throughout the Washoe area. The Parts Runner plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of the service and sales departments. This position involves assisting with the acquisition and distribution of parts for forklifts and ensuring that technicians and customers have the necessary components to keep operations running efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service.

What the Parts Runner will do:

• Parts Management: Assist in the inventory control of forklift parts and accessories, ensuring accurate stock levels and timely replenishment. Loading and unloading trucks with appropriate items.
• Parts Delivery: Safely and efficiently transport parts to and from the warehouse, service locations, and customer sites as needed.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of parts deliveries, including tracking receipts and returns, to ensure clear communication with the service team and inventory management.
• Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by engaging with clients and answering questions regarding parts availability and delivery timelines.
• Collaboration: Work closely with service technicians and service personnel to determine needed parts quickly and efficiently. Order fulfillment is crucial!
• Cleanliness and Safety: Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols while handling parts and driving company vehicles.

What the Parts Runner needs to have:

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in automotive or industrial mechanics is a plus.
• Prior experience in a parts runner, warehouse, or logistics role preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; ability to operate delivery vans or trucks safely.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
• Basic mechanical knowledge and understanding of forklift parts and equipment is an advantage.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems is a plus.
