Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our HR team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of employee compensation, and maintaining compliance with relevant regulations.
Duties
- Process payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy in hours worked and pay rates.
- Maintain accurate records of employee information, including deductions and benefits.
- Prepare journal entries related to payroll transactions and analyze discrepancies.
- Manage accounts payable functions related to payroll expenses.
- Utilize Paycom payroll software
- Perform reconciliations of payroll accounts and assist in the preparation of financial statements.
- Collaborate with HR to ensure proper onboarding of new employees into the payroll system.
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including debits and credits.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations.
- Reports to Director of Payroll Services
Qualifications
- Recent experience working with Paycom payroll platform
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive employee information.
- Effective communication skills for interacting with employees at all levels.
