Safety and Risk Management plays a vital role in protecting employees, residents, and stakeholders by identifying potential hazards, enforcing compliance with safety regulations, and implementing proactive risk management strategies. This ensures a safe and healthy environment across operations, reducing workplace accidents, minimizing liability, and enhancing overall organizational efficiency.
The Enterprise Risk Governance Specialist will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating potential hazards and risks within The Arc's Enterprise by creating, implementing, and managing safety policies, risk mitigation plans, and compliance strategies. They will assist the Director of Compliance & Associate Counsel in ensuring compliance with laws, regulatory guidance, licensing, and contract requirements, as well as policies and procedures. Additionally, they will ensure adherence to safety regulations, fostering a safety culture within the enterprise by collaborating with divisions/departments, including People Operations and subsidiaries, and external entities and partners.
This role requires the ability to coordinate, align, and manage compliance, safety, and risk. As the chair of the Health & Safety Committee and a member of the Leadership Council, the Enterprise Risk Governance Specialist must meet all the requirements of a Direct Support Professional and complete all trainings.
