What are the responsibilities and job description for the Professional Services Coordinator position at The Arc Gateway, Inc.?
NEEDED: Enthusiastic, caring individual with a passion for organization and paperwork. Must be a self-starter, fast learner, and have at least 1 year experience working with individuals with Intellectual and/or Developmental Disabilities.
SUMMARY
To provide case management and ensure that the programs and services at PTC address current wants and needs of persons receiving services and match the program/services authorized on the Individual Support Plans (ISP).
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
1. Provide case management to assigned persons through prescribed documentation, assessing services and behavioral management intervention and support.
3. Input client reports, Implementation Plans, and other required information to state central record keeping system (iConnect).
4. Keep Program Manager informed of any needs for maintenance, supplies, client concerns, client training needs
5. Work closely with people receiving services, families, and support coordinators.
6. Provide assistance with and encourage appropriate social interactions, toileting, eating, self-care, grooming, mobility, etc.
7. Monitor the provision of services and daily scheduled activities. Recommend changes or additions in activities in coordination w/ADT Activities Manager. Attend relevant meetings.
8. Assure that minimum standards from relevant agencies (APD, CMS, School Contract) are observed in required documentation and through regular records review.
10. Advocate for people with developmental disabilities through participant, family, and public relations and careful monitoring of services.
NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
1. Provide back-up coverage including answering telephones, facilitating group activities, and with community outings.
2. Conduct program tours for possible new clients, new field professionals, etc.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Two years of college or university and one year related experience and/or training.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record, proof of insurance, FDLE fingerprint check, Dept. of Children and Families Abuse Registry Check, local law enforcement check and Affidavit of Good Moral Character. CPR and First Aid certification, or be willing to obtain.

2. Must be energetic and well organized.
3. Must have good communication skills (written, oral, and listening) in order to professionally represent PTC and The Arc Gateway to the community.
4. This employee is a required reporter of suspected abuse and/or neglect.
5. Must have the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
Salary: $18.00/hour

7:00 am - 3:00 pm Monday through Friday
