The Arc Montgomery County has an exciting newly created position for an Onboarding Manager. Under the supervision of the Director of Human Resources & Staff Development, the Onboarding Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining an effective onboarding process that aligns with the organization's goals and values. Other responsibilities include overseeing and managing the onboarding process for new employees, plus ensuring a smooth and positive transition into the company. This role involves coordinating with various divisions / departments and providing support to new hires to ensure their successful integration into the company. The Onboarding Manager supervises the Recruiter(s).

JOB-SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Supervision

  • Hire, train, support, and supervise Recruiter(s), ensuring a variety of recruitment strategies are implemented to maintain a robust hiring program.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures and completion of assigned duties.
  • Manage communication and collaboration within the Human Resources team and with other divisions / departments to ensure recruitment needs are fulfilled.
  • Evaluate Recruiter(s), including feedback from others.

Onboarding Process Management

  • Develop and maintain an effective onboarding process that aligns with the organization's goals and values.
  • Coordinate with hiring supervisors and other relevant stakeholders to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new employees.
  • Establish and maintain a schedule for onboarding activities, ensuring all necessary tasks are completed in a timely manner.
  • New Employee Orientation

  • Coordinate with division / department leaders to deliver division / department-specific orientations and training sessions.
  • Introduce new hires to key personnel, including team members, managers, and leadership.
  • Address any questions or concerns raised by new employees during the orientation process.
  • Training and Development

  • Collaborate with Quality Assurance and other division / department leaders to identify training needs for new hires.
  • Monitor the progress of new employees during the introductory period and provide ongoing support and guidance as needed.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the onboarding program, making necessary adjustments to improve the experience.
  • Mentorship and Support

  • Serve as a point of contact and provide ongoing support to new employees throughout their onboarding process.
  • Conduct regular check-ins with new employees to address any concerns, provide feedback, and ensure their overall satisfaction.
  • Compliance and Documentation

  • Ensure onboarding procedures are compliant with all labor laws.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of onboarding activities, including employee information, training completion, and feedback from new hires about their onboarding experience.
  • Perform other related duties and participate in special projects as assigned.

    QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of relevant professional experience; or associate degree plus seven (7) years of relevant professional experience or high school diploma plus nine (9) years of relevant professional experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software.
  • Excellent communication and interviewing skills.
  • Attentive to details and administrative skills.
  • Salary Range : $67145 - $70,545 depending on education and experience.
