The Arc of Palm Beach County is a dynamic, community-based nonprofit serving and advocating for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Our dedicated and caring team members provide support that helps over 3,500 children, teens, and adults to live, learn, work, and thrive.
Position Summary:
The Events and Fundraising Manager plans, organizes, and oversees events and campaigns for The Arc of Palm Beach County. Focusing on event logistics and donor engagement, the Manager will support organizational fundraising goals and work alongside the program team to execute agency initiatives. This role reports to the Chief Advancement Officer.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, plan, and execute fundraising events, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Proficiency in developing and pitching event ideas for approval by supervisor and board members.
- Identify, approach, and secure sponsorships and partnerships with businesses, individuals, and organizations.
- Recruit, train, and supervise volunteers to assist with events and fundraising efforts.
- Coordinate event logistics, including venue selection, vendor management, permits, and compliance requirements.
- Manage event budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Develop promotional materials and marketing strategies in collaboration with the communications team.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, sponsors, and community stakeholders.
- Track and evaluate event performance, providing reports and recommendations for future improvements.
- Stay informed on fundraising trends, best practices, and community engagement strategies.
- Self-motivated and resilient professional with a proven ability to perform under pressure. Adept at making quick, strategic decisions to solve problems efficiently while maintaining focus and composure in challenging situations.

Education and Experience Requirements:
- Passion for advancing opportunities for children and adults with disabilities and a commitment to community service.
- Associate’s degree required; Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, communications, marketing, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of two years’ experience in event planning, fundraising, or donor relations.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Proficiency in Canva, Microsoft Office, donor management software, and event planning tools.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed for events.
- Current Florida driver's license and auto insurance
Physical Requirements/Working Conditions:
- The person in this position needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity equipment/machinery such as copy machines, printers etc.
- The ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand. Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- The ability to observe, identify, and recognize details at close and long range.
- Frequently moves boxes weighing up to 30 pounds across office for various needs.
