Summary : The Arc of Union County Inc. is a leading provider of Person-Centered services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities through various services and programming. Under the guidance of the Associate Executive Director, Operations, Assistant Executive Director, Clinical Services is responsible for providing clinical leadership and policy direction, maintain accepted standards of clinical practices throughout the organization; and provide administrative and professional supervision of activities of healthcare support, Behavioral Supports, & Behavioral Health Services serves as the Mental Health Nurse Practitioner for the behavioral health services, Integration of Behavioral Services, behavioral Health and capacity as the Head Clinical Director for the agency. Supervise and direct all aspects of health care operations, from employee development to technology operations. Coordinating care with other medical professionals and specialists. Serving as service recipient advocate and shaping health policy. The incumbent provides as a backup for the individual's provider in emergency with consent to assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with mental health conditions, including conducting comprehensive evaluations, developing treatment plans, prescribing medication, providing individual and group therapy, and educating patients and families about mental health issues, all while collaborating with other healthcare professionals within their scope of practice as defined by state regulations.

Assistant Executive Director, Clinical Services is responsible for providing efficiency in communications, interpretation of clinical indicators and integration of Healthcare Safety Mitigation Practices into agency services. The incumbent is responsible for sharing clinical insights, providing direct responses, and providing agency wide clinical direction to the Agency Executive Team as a Board-Certified Clinical Director for the agency. Translate clinical dimensions into our practice and ensure that the mission and vision of the Arc is maintained or always surpassed including during pandemics, etc.

The incumbent is responsible for assuring employee efficiency and monitoring new employees' progress in the healthcare and behavioral programs discipline. The incumbent is responsible for planning, directing, coordinating and assisting in creating clinical strategies for the agency. The Assistant Executive Director, Clinical Services is responsible for ensuring that the services under capacity are guided by person-centered values, address the holistic needs of individuals served, and reflect the mission and goals of the agency.

Assistant Executive Director, Clinical Services will provide supervision and direction to the assigned Directors, other staff and will ensure a high level of quality service delivery and management throughout the Healthcare Support Services, Behavioral Services and Behavioral Health Services. This position functions as a member of the Executive Team and is responsible for assembling staff teams, performance evaluations and personnel actions. Foster and maintain positive employee / management relations; develop an atmosphere of cooperation and teamwork.

Assistant Executive Director, Clinical Services has full responsibility and accountability for all clinical aspects delivered throughout agency services. The incumbent is responsible for planning, designing and facilitating health trainings for staff, providing nursing services to service recipients and responsible for the development and implementation of preventive health services for individuals with developmental disabilities within The Arc of Union County, Inc. The incumbent identifies and maintains a profile of service recipients whose baseline has shifted, requiring NJCAT reassessment. The incumbent will thus perform health and NJCAT assessments for individuals served utilizing the nursing process and within the scope of practice. The incumbent will maintain ongoing monitoring and documentation of resident's health needs, identify emerging health needs and provide appropriate guidance and interventions. The incumbent is a lead member of a support team that assesses individual support needs and determines relative need for services.

The Assistant Executive Director, Healthcare Supports, Behavioral Supports, & Behavioral Health Services develops high quality Mental Health / Dementia Services within the agency's infrastructure and oversees the administration of these services and supports.

This position requires Advanced Practice Nurse Certification, completion of DDD System Mandatory Training Bundle within 90 days of hire, DDD and Agency Orientations, other designated trainings and a minimum of 12 Hours of Professional Development completed annually. Complete State DDD Education In-services / maintain required certifications and credentials as required by The Arc and external agencies. Maintain Current New Jersey Nurses License and enroll in CEUs.

The Assistant Executive Director, Healthcare Supports, Behavioral Supports, & Behavioral Health Services promotes a safe, secure, and dependable environment promoting a higher quality of life for service recipients. The incumbent considers the unique characteristics and needs of each individual as expressed by the individual and others who know the person, such as family, friends, service providers, etc. The incumbent is to maintain a positive, healthy and stimulating therapeutic environment for service recipients.

This position requires that information related to service recipient, employee, program operations, agency is handled, channeled, managed and delivered professionally to the appropriate and right personnel or party consistent with agency and department policy. Any misuse, mismanagement, etc. of information obtained, accessed, discussed, or provided to position may result in removal from managerial role or position capacity.

This is an exempt position and the incumbent reports to the Associate Executive Director, Operations.

Skills : This position requires Proficiency in Windows software, Ability to use a data entry software such as Therap, Ability to complete Shift and Individual Served ISP Data entry in web based electronic platform.Quality management skills in relation to tracking and measuring data related to service recipients' care, such as safety, and designing policies to improve the quality of care.This position requires excellent interpersonal and conceptual skills. Strong management, leadership, planning and communication skills required. Partnering and scientific and technological leadership. Demonstrate ability to manage information effectively. Knowledge of staffing function and employment related legislations. Ability to implement effective group and inter-group work, monitor group-level performance indicators, diagnose and resolve problems within and among work groups. Ability to execute organizational plans, inspire and provide guidance to middle level managers. Demonstrate ability to initiate and execute managerial decisions and actions. Ability to design and present on dashboards, Knowledge of Fee for Service model required. Competence in functional needs assessment of individuals' abilities and health status. Ability to perform specialized cognitive assessments utilizing appropriate evidence-based tools. .

Qualifications : Master's Degree in Nursing required and a current R.N. License. Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner Board Certification required. Clinical Board Certifications in Mental Health, Dementia, DDD etc. Five or more years' experience working in a long-term care setting with significant clinical experience in a related field. Extensive experience in clinical management or a senior healthcare role. Five years of progressive management experience working with people with I / DD, at least seven in a supervisory role including frontline, middle level, and at a senior or administrative level, development of staff, and the application of fiscal and qualitative standards. Must have thorough knowledge of all OSHA, DDD, Behavioral Health, CMS, CARF, Adult Day Habilitation Certification standards and other external regulations and requirements. Must have excellent management, leadership, planning and communication skills. Flexibility and sense of humor. Demonstrate ability to thrive and perform in an ever-changing, fast paced and demanding environment. Must be 21 years of age or older. Must have a valid New Jersey driver's license and abstract (not to exceed 5 points), and ability to meet agency insurability requirements. Major Position Responsibilities

Implement insight vision from Associate Executive Director, Operations.

Oversee the development of Operational Plans for services under capacity but not limited to strategies for increasing referral volume, increasing service capacity, manage existing accounts, fulfilling service contract objectives, driving sales, productivity, and overall business growth. Facilitate new business developments as directed, market new and innovative ideas.

Provide efficiency in communications, interpretation of clinical indicators and integration of Healthcare Safety Mitigation Practices into our services.

Share clinical insights, provide direct responses, and provide agency wide clinical direction to the Agency Executive Team as a Board-Certified Clinical Director for the agency.

Translate clinical dimensions into our practice and ensure that the mission and vision of the Arc is maintained or always surpassed including during pandemics, etc.

Develop proposals for service enhancement for submission to the Associate Executive Director, Operations.

Provide direction to a variety of service models while fostering the Arc of Union County's mission and philosophical values of quality care.

Provide technical direction, guidance, mentoring, and training to assigned support staff and directors.

Provide orientation to assigned directors to assure their efficiency and relevancy to their role and their understanding of department and agency practices.

Facilitate intra / inter departmental meetings to provide leadership, support and direction to management and staff, and identify individual and programmatic needs.

Attending interdepartmental meetings with other executives or directors to review and discuss clinical plans and strategies pertaining to business operations and quality care.

Provide effective communication and collaboration with other executive staff, assure availability for meetings with the leadership to review areas of concern or areas that require interdepartmental collaboration to identify areas of improvement induce efficiencies, quality care and improvements etc.

Follow up with action items on decisions made and to implement them expeditiously within protocols associated with the agency. This includes but is not limited to agency business operations / delivered service / quality controls, medical advisory board decisions, committee decisions and other internal communications

Provide management oversight for healthcare supports, behavior supports, behavior program and behavioral health program.

Market Behavioral Supports & Behavioral Health Services to the community and other external relevant parties to build a referral base and garner potential placement referrals as directed.

Oversee and ensure staff development resources and that opportunities are provided for all assigned staff.

Assure Directors are facilitating and providing clinical direction on agency / departmental designed new employee on-boarding communications, expectations and administrative orientations.

Oversee the assembly of a successful clinical management team and other frontline clinical staffing teams under capacity including OT, PT, SPL etc. disciplines.

Oversee Nursing team, works with other directors in coordinating healthcare services, representing Healthcare Supports in vetting referrals and reviews at Admissions Committees and ensuring departmental healthcare changing needs data is recorded timely, intervenes, or follows through on data statics, metrics, and / or results promptly. Assures dashboards are available promptly for administration analysis.

Assure completion of Personnel Status Notice in a timely manner upon notification of staff status change or execution of approved status change, submission to next level supervisor consistent with protocol for review and further processing. Assure completion and submission of Personnel Requisition as necessary in a timely manner for prompt position posting and hiring of staff.

Assess management staff performance on a regular basis and ensure full implementation of departmental and agency goals.

Oversee, facilitate and monitor the administration of clinical health services including assessments, diagnoses, treatment, interventions, consultation, training, education, counseling, psychotherapeutic services, psychiatric treatment, preventive services, resilience building, support and outreach groups, etc.

Lead professional for all agency NJISP assessments. Provides guidance and direction to all special needs assessment panel members.

Reviews NJISP drafts prior to approval for signatures and implementation.

Direct all clinical services as per agency scope of practice and provide overall coordination and evaluation.

Address all clinical and functionality areas during any internal and external assessments.

Utilize the nursing process to provide high quality evidence-based nursing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and other associated multimorbidities.

Educate service recipients, staff and families on health promotion and disease prevention, etc.

Coordinate with other healthcare professionals and interdisciplinary team members as needed to identify and implement appropriate interventions for any identified physiological and / or psychological conditions.

Consult with nutritionist regarding diets.

Consult with external healthcare professionals and relevant entities.

Identify individuals that need NJCAT assessment and consult with Executive designee, Operations for approval of reassessment request process.

Oversee that the Medical Secretary processing prescriptions with the assigned Pharmacy, Partners, receiving the medications, sorting the medications, cross referencing the medication with MAR in Therap system, following up with the pharmacy, and communicating with the assigned Healthcare Support Professional and others as appropriate.

Observe and assess the assigned pharmacy's performance relative to the agency's medication processing and delivery efficiency and effectiveness relative to the agency's structured protocols, expectations, etc. including full adoption of the agency's centralized structure of prescription processing, structured weekly medication delivery at headquarters and timely deliveries of stats at all residential sites. Communicate and / or intervene promptly of any deviation pharmacy to honor its fiduciary responsibility obligation.

Assure that Clinical Team makes effort and overcome obstacles in a creative manner to assure delivery of quality service including processing of prescriptions and delivery of medications for timely administration in line with physician orders thus assuring service recipient does not miss medications.

Promote a culture of compliance with prescribed medications and treatments and assess the effects of medications and / or treatments as indicated by medical providers.

Deliver psychotherapy as applicable.

Promote a healthful environment that meets OSHA standards, agency requirements and other regulatory bodies.

Develop, maintain, and implement clinical practices that conform to current standards of care, agency philosophy, and operational policies while maintaining compliance with state and federal laws and regulations.

Demonstrate knowledge of and application of Key Clinical Quality Indicators, and proactively monitor and implement systems to achieve and / or surpass expected thresholds.

Conduct research for improving nursing practices and healthcare outcomes of individuals served.

Utilize the nursing diagnosis process as per NANDA guidelines and intervening appropriately.

Design and preventative proactive Oral Hygiene / Health Education for IDD encompassing developing and or acquiring a compressive curriculum providing a formal agency training on oral hygiene for all program operations staff. Establish an Annual Oral Hygiene Refresher Training plan that is subsidized with Dental Health Education workshops for persons with developmental disabilities.

Oversees timely refinements of agency systems, removal of barriers, provision of training and development of program operations Supervisors, Assistant Directors and Director with respect to healthcare service delivery etc.

Design and facilitate clinical training for all program staff which will develop or enhance their understanding and skills required for appropriate health / safety practices and procedures including documentation of health status of individuals served and in-house health / medical related procedures.

Train staff members in the use of medical equipment, assistive devices, blood pressure machines, etc.

Educate staff on Mental Illness, Developmental Disabilities and any clinical disciplines.

Oversee provision of specialized trainings that require only Registered Nurse facilitation including but not limited to Insulin Administration, injections, Diabetes Overview (Diabetes Prevention and Maintenance), Glucometer use and care, Blood sugar monitoring and diabetic plan of care such as "Avoid sugary drinks, exercise," etc.

Oversee training of staff and individuals served on fluid intake and any restrictions as needed. Intervenes and consults with healthcare professionals for changes in weight of 5 pounds or more if indicated by healthcare providers. This information will be provided to the Healthcare Training Professional by program staff and / or management staff including notations on the critical log.

Oversee training on physician orders including medications, monitoring of vital signs and tracking, etc.

Oversee completion of a diabetic medication administration record for individuals approved to utilize the internal diabetic MAR platform. Train staff in its use and intervene as needed.

Oversee the maintenance and update individual's information of "Service Needs Folder" as needed.

Oversee the provision of clinical evaluation and intervention on arising healthcare related conditions for service recipients.

Oversee the provision of nursing support after regularly scheduled hours to address arising care needs.

Provide guidance to directors, supervisors to develop or enhance their understanding and skills required for appropriate health / safety practices and procedures including documentation of health status of individuals served and in-house health related procedures.

Interpret healthcare related terminology for staff and maintain communication with physicians' offices.

Oversee the review of Physician Visit Records (PVR), discharge instructions and all communications from healthcare professionals to identify needs and trends of the individuals and forward for data entry and filing.

Oversee the reception, review Physician Visit Records from Supervisor, Residential, and provide clinical feedback and recommendations.

Ensure review Medical Examination Reports in files or data platforms, identify, design further specialized training for staff, or further charting platforms for implementation and / or follow through internally or external with clinical teams as necessary to assure prompt, quality, and safe care. advise

Ensure timely review of ISPs, Critical Log, Physician Visit Records, Patient Education Handouts Print outs, Annual Physical, Physician notes / Charts, Service Recipient File / Data Platforms etc., promptly and identify, deduct and / or transcribe clinically related information into a formal specialized training and / or intervention support plan for all staff for consistent implantation and support for the Service Recipient. Provide further clinical follow-up as needed promptly.

Assure the collaboration among directors and management teams on new admission intakes as recommended by Residential Admissions Committee chair and assist with receipt of required healthcare information for prospective candidates.

Provide oversight on healthcare support teams in communication with program management on pending discharge of individuals served from a hospital or rehabilitation center. Assess the individual served before hospital or rehabilitation discharge and determine if the individual is appropriate to return to their residential setting, is in a condition that can be cared for by non- clinical staff and is able to safely access their program with minor or no environmental changes (for example, can navigate stairs if program has stairs.) Review all medial discharge paperwork / care instructions prior to readmission into the group home.

Coordinate and ensure that once an individual is discharged from a hospital stay, rehab center or ER, all medications are reconciled, accurate and documented consistently on the discharge documentation and / or prescriptions.

Provide oversight on follow up and observation for the individual in the home after hospital or rehabilitation discharge.

Assure that Agency protocol is followed when an individual is being discharged from a hospital or rehab facility.

Oversee the coordination of any therapeutic services needed, Physical therapy, speech, occupational etc.

Oversee support team accompanying Program Supervisors on appointments as needed.

Assure support team identifies when required follow-up appointments / exams and annual appointments are needed / outdated and inform Program Supervisor accordingly.

Oversee completion of clinical evaluations; collaborate with physicians based on assessments to assure proper diagnoses of residents.

Assure healthcare support teams utilizes the "Diagnosis Section" in Therap for documentation of diagnoses.

Provide oversight on healthcare support teams in reviewing the info in the Therap Appointment Tracking. Addition to the description (if needed) to assure accurate reflection of the physician notations, (Evaluation result, Treatment, Plan of Care, etc.).

Assure appropriate attendance and participation in meetings by clinical staff pertaining to individuals served. This will include but not limited to ISP, IDT, pre-placement meetings, etc.

Oversee the review, follow up and ensure that medical orders not written on a traditional prescription pad (Physician Visit Record, Annual Physical or ER Treatment / discharge papers) have been transcribed into a structured documentation chart; the Medication Administration Record (MAR) or Treatment Administration Record (TAR), ISCN, etc.

Oversee the review of prescriptions and assure that all medical orders including Special Diet, medications, etc. are not ambiguous but specific.

Assure health care supports are coordinating with the Program Supervisor, Service Plan Coordinators and ensure that Individuals' diagnosed allergies and diet are consistently documented in the Annual Physical Report, POS, MAR, Therap, OTC sheet and the individuals' IHP / ISP clinical sections. All records must match allergies.

Assure that healthcare support teams identify diagnosed food allergies or special food menu instructions / recommendations, forward the medical order to the agency Nutrition Consultant through Assistant Directors or designee. Assure known Food allergies and any dietary recommendations are featured consistently on the MAR as well as on the food menu.

Assure clinical support teams are promptly informing program supervisors, Assistant Directors and administration of any diagnosed case of a communicable / contagious diseases on an individual served, Isolation precautions as necessary consistent with agency policy, state, and federal guidelines. E.g., DHS, OSHA, CDC.

Oversee the review and process any Medical orders in a timely manner. Communicate any reasons for delay to the Program Supervisor for documentation in the Critical Log and on reverse of the MAR as applicable.

Oversee the coordination of telephone calls and communications for residential programs with physician offices, pharmacy and other medical institutions on medical order request or clarifications etc. Log and respond to internal / external informational requests within agency guidelines.

Oversee completion of a body check on a newly admitted person at admission or immediately after admission into residential program. This includes individuals being admitted to the program after a rehab stay.

Review medication and health care information on a newly admitted / readmitted person with program supervisor and program staff.

Oversee clinical teams participation in medical appointments as needed or once an individual's level of medical needs becomes elevated to provide relevant interpretation to the physician and feedback to the support team.

Consult with the physician, when necessary, in order to provide and maintain safe and efficient care delivery.

Monitor service recipient's clinical status ensuring all records meet standards as per agency policy and governing regulations.

Perform cognitive and mental health assessments as deemed appropriate.

Assess individuals on arising non-emergency health related concerns and make recommendations as necessary utilizing the nursing process.

Collaborate with physicians based on assessments to assure proper diagnoses of service recipients.

Assess individuals served medical needs on an ongoing basis and make recommendations for further examination or professional consultation / intervention as necessary.

Oversee the partnership among Assistant Directors, Directors and other team members to ensure effective communications to enhance the quality of services and meet the individuals' served health care objectives and goals.

Oversee the identification of emerging individuals' served health needs, develop and coordinate with team members, Directors / Assistant Directors and / or external resources to provide appropriate interventions to meet those needs within the guidelines of the agency.

Oversee the facilitation of the processing and obtaining of medical devices / equipments including Medical ID Emergency Bracelet, wheelchairs, hospital beds, Hoya lift, pill crusher, etc.

Oversee the implementation of healthcare practices consistent with agency healthcare standards, guidelines, licensing, and other state regulations.

Oversee the completion and maintenance of all required documentations as directed and in accordance with Center for Medicaid Services requirements, agency Operational Standards etc. and participate towards achievement of a Full Licensing Certification.

Oversee the provision of skill nursing including but not limited to Vitamin B-12 injections, & wound care.

Assure that all identified healthcare needs are met.

Oversee the facilitation and delivery of healthcare related training such as COVID-19, Infectious Disease Training, Arc Medication Policies, Skin Protective Measures and safe lifting, Mental Health and Dementia, etc.

Provide oversight on the completion of the Clinical Sections of ISP and all clinical assessments documents.

Oversee the performance of all self - medication assessments for individuals served as needed.

Be part of a team that implements strategies necessary to assist the individual in progressing toward his / her personally defined outcomes as indicated in the Individual Service Plan (ISP), a Person-Centered Plan (PCPT) or Service Detail Report (SDR).

Review provided information related to the individual, including the PCPT, previous ISP(s), available assessments, and evaluation data, as appropriate / relevant.

Oversee clinical staff's participation actively in the planning of team meetings and work cooperatively to achieve consensus in the spirit of the ISP operating principles. Participate in the IDT, ISP process, and assure identified goals are accomplished in accordance with Agency policies. Ensure correct implementation of ISP objectives and development of Behavior Plans as needed.

Be part of a team that oversees implementation of skill development, ISP and other plans as developed and directed.

Assure effective coordination and integration of all individuals' services offered within and outside the agency.

Ensure effective notification to the Support Team and directing a special team meeting to be scheduled whenever there is a significant change in the individual's status.

Oversee periodic review of the ISP document, and report inconsistencies in service recipients' support needs (Ambulation, Self-Care, Behavioral, and Medical) to appropriate agency personnel. Assure thorough dissemination of identified individual needs data into appropriate databases.

Ensure the ISP document is periodically audited and assure accurate and complete reflection of the service recipients' support needs (Ambulation, Self-Care, Behavioral and Medical). Assure each service recipient has a completed and up to date ISCN, and Individual Service Needs.

Assure effective preparation by clinical teams towards participation in individuals' served planning processes (IDT, ISP), and assure identified goals are accomplished in accordance with agency standards.

Oversee and ensure each service recipient has a current Individual Service Plan (ISP), a Person-Centered Plan (PCPT) or Service Detail Report (SDR).

Review provided information related to the individual, including the Person-Centered Planning Tool (PCPT), previous ISP(s), available assessments, and evaluation data, as appropriate / relevant.

Participate actively in the planning of team meetings and work cooperatively to achieve consensus in the spirit of the ISP operating principles. Participate in the IDT, ISP process and assure identified goals are accomplished in accordance with Agency policies. Assure correct implementation of ISP objectives and development of Behavior Plans as needed.

Oversee implementation of skill development, Behavior plans, ISP's and other plans as developed and directed.

Assure recording of data (in Therap) relative to assigned outcomes for service recipients including ISP tracking, Daily Training Record (DTR) etc.

Oversee the periodic review of ISP documents and report's inconsistencies in service recipients' support needs (Ambulation, Self-Care, Behavioral & Medical) to appropriate agency personnel. Assure thorough dissemination of identified individual needs data into appropriate databases.

Oversee clinical teams' participation in the scheduling and completion of interviews with the prospective service recipients and their caregiver(s), guardians, etc. and collaboration with the vetting team in the interview and assures that the team determines in advance on the program's ability to serve or not serve the individual and advises the committee during the Vocational Admissions Meeting.

Oversee the provision of Service Recipient Placement clinical Interview Information to The Director, Adult Day Habilitation Services / Chair Vocational Admissions Committee to update the completed "Placement Referral Summarized Clinical Abstract- Adult Day Services" Form.

Actively participate in the Admissions Committees meeting process; coordinate referral interviews as directed and participate in intake and admission meetings in order to assure appropriate intakes; ensure completion of Day Habilitation program pre-admission documentation and secure all new admission documents consistent with licensing, state and agency policies.

Oversee the receipt of all required information for service recipient's placement and service delivery is obtained.

Oversee the receipt of all required clinical information and documentations for service recipient's placement are obtained and filed for effective plan development, effective service delivery, acquisition of a 3 Year Day Habilitation Certification, fulfillment of Center for Medicaid Services requirements and agency objectives.

Schedule and facilitate quarterly Assistant Director, Supervisor, Assistant Supervisor and Director Day management meetings to provide training, assure a productive flow of clinical communications and to also address service recipients' related issues.

Visit programs routinely to get staff input / feedback, interact with staff / service recipients and observe service delivery relative to clinical objectives. Assess, evaluate and review practices. Observe and assess service delivery methods, and practices in conformance with department objectives. Provide guidance, support and mentoring as needed.

Oversee the meeting of successful licensure and accreditation standards as it pertains to clinical activities to assure programs attains a 3 years Day Habilitation Certification, CARF accreditation, and oversee the development of the plan of correction relative to clinical deficiencies featured on inspection / audit reports.

Partner with Agency Directors to assure effective service delivery to enhance the quality of services and meet the program, department and agency objectives and goals.

Oversee the implementation of timely, thorough and effective communications regarding service recipient, to all appropriate parties including but not limited to program staff, support staff, supervisors, directors and / or administration.

Oversee the implementation recommendations made by the Nutrition Consultant promptly.

Oversee the review and approval of individual evacuation evaluations.

Oversee the effective coordination and integration of all individuals' clinical services offered within and outside the agency.

Oversee the timely, thorough and effective communications regarding service recipient to all appropriate parties including but not limited to program staff, supervisors, directors and / or administration.

Oversee that upon notification of qualifying or active incident, appropriate measures are taken consistently with agency policies, procedures and training, and support is directed toward the staff and the service recipient involved in a crisis. Provide guidance, direction, intervention, etc. and ensure that incidents meeting the criteria of Unusual Incident Report are reported through automated UIR / GER documentation, standardized notifications activated as indicated through DDD circular and Arc of Union County trainings.

Oversee that upon notification of an employee accident at work, appropriate measures is taken consistently with agency policies and procedures. Provide guidance, direction, and assure claim is reported through standardized notification including Employee Accident Report, Root Cause Analysis documentation.

Identify emerging clinical needs of service recipients' / staff / program. Develop and coordinate a plan of action with Assistant Director, Day Habilitation, support staff, administration and / or external sources to provide appropriate responses to meet those needs within the guidelines of the agency.

Oversees the facilitation of clinical employee Administrative Orientation and ongoing training on agency policies and procedures. Oversees and ensures that the signed orientation documentation is obtained, filed and distributed as required. Oversees the auditing of training records regularly, assuring registration of staff for training and assuring that all staff members are fully trained in all DDD trainings meet criteria of a minimum of 12 Hours of Professional Development completed annually, State trainings, etc. Oversees and assures proper re-certifications, monitoring attendance and addressing of training attendance performance in a timely manner.

Ensure daily data entry of Changing Healthcare Needs, Behavioral Needs, and Associated Interventions with Calibration of Measurable Trending Needs, and Analysis in Healthcare and Behavioral Executive Dashboard for at least Monthly for Administration. Assure completion of Routine, Monthly, Quarterly or Clinical Business Director's Reports as required and submit promptly as directed.

Assure timely Healthcare Support reviews on programs as provided by the agency in Healthcare Practices outline, Medical Audits consistent with the annual periods established.

Downloading, copying, transferring, and transmitting of agency documents to personal accounts, and / or distribution externally is prohibited. The agency uses various IT systems to detect these activities.

Must fully cooperate with all investigations, inspections, etc. internally and externally including full cooperation with the Department of Human Services, the Division of Developmental Disabilities, Office of Licensing, Licensee or any other duly authorized person regarding the care and service given to individuals served by this Agency.

Employees who may encounter individuals served shall be subject to and comply with the requirements for random drug testing for controlled dangerous substances. Criminal history record background checks will be conducted at least once every two years for agency's employees. Any employee who is required to undergo a criminal history record background check and refuses to consent to, or cooperate in, the securing of a criminal history record background check shall be immediately removed from the person's position and the person's employment shall be terminated.

The Arc of Union County, Inc. is contracted with the New Jersey Department of Human Services to provide and facilitate essential personal care and health promotion services to individuals with disabilities and other comorbid conditions. Initiate "on call" procedures with respect to arising incidents including 911 emergency calls, life threatening incidents, and / or operational breakdown etc. and complete Unusual Incident Reports (UIR) in a timely manner consistent with agency policy and state law.

Responsible to report to immediate Supervisor or through the chain of command any suspected incidents of abuse, neglect or exploitation of service recipients and complete Unusual Incident Reports (UIR) in a timely manner consistent with agency policy and state law.

The agency may assign employees to any duties and to any work site it deems necessary in its sole discretion.

This is an administrative position; you are required to communicate abrupt absence directly to your supervisor / operation management and verbally handover (not necessary physically) responsibilities to your supervisor for the smooth operation of programs and the safety and wellbeing of the service recipients. This position requires eight (8) weeks' notice prior to leaving or resignation.
