POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides professional support to a department/program. Duties and tasks are varied and moderately complex. Applies advanced professional skills to the position. May adapt procedures and processes to accomplish position requirements. Works under minimal supervision. Under limited supervision, performs complex duties following established procedures in the area of quality assurance, health and safety. Position is responsible for being the subject matter expert for I-Care Manager (ICM); maintaining department statistics / dashboard; coordinating and documenting the standing committee; conducts and documents house visits; preps Mandt Training; and is the back up to the QA coordinator. Must possess a valid driver’s license along with two (2) years of driving experience required.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS;
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Position requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Human Services Field and three (3) years experience in the Human Services field, preferably with developmental disabilities experience. Experience with investigations and reporting and specifically I-Care, preferred. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Supervises the compliance team
- Must be capable of competing demands and changing an approach or method to best fit the situation. Must demonstrate a positive attitude when job requirements require multi-tasking and being flexible.
- As the ICM Manager serves as the subject manager expert providing support to nearly 600 staff; managing access; updating information for persons supported and coordinating issues with the ICM developers.
- Required to conduct investigations into Reportable Incidents. Works with program personnel and human resources regarding collection of statements and supporting data. Reports results and corrective actions to the responsible agencies.
- Maintains the QA dashboard and QA grids setting up grids for each year. Achieves quality assurance operational objectives by contributing information and analysis to strategic plans and reviews, preparing and completing action plans, implementing quality and customer service standards, identifying, researching, and resolving problems, completing audits, determining system improvements, and implementing change.
- Chairs the Standing Committee

- Organizes, distributes and compiles data from the yearly satisfaction Surveys
- Leads and ensures that inspections of all sites are completed as scheduled and that any deficiencies are immediately addressed. Findings will be shared quarterly at the Quality Council meeting but also immediately disseminated to the appropriate supervisor.
- Ensures staff is up to date with the most accurate way of completing documentation so agency can be paid for the work that they do (i.e. assists with getting incentives.)
- Tracks DDA approval of services via DDA correspondence and DDA database.
- Supports the team during OHCQ survey prep
- Educates families and day and vocational staff on principles of Employment First.
- Coordinates departmental and interdepartmental activities, working collaboratively with all departments to facilitate a cohesive and comprehensive array of services.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Requires sitting for prolonged periods of time working with computer, standing and walking periodically.
- Employee may need to lift or move up to 25 pounds during a workday.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
- Well-lit office environment free of dust and noise with periodic visits to residential homes.
- Extensive time in front of a computer screen.
