General Statement of Duties:
Provide management of the day-to-day operations of the residences; supervision of the individuals day-to-day activities, socialization, recreation and daily living skills development.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
The following is a summary of the essential functions of this job. The incumbent may perform other duties, both major and minor, that are not mentioned below and essential functions may change from time to time.
Ø Promote and adhere to all elements of the Agency’s CQL outcomes and Core Values and demonstrate knowledge and commitment to the Arc’s Mission.
Ø Ensure protection from abuse, neglect, mistreatment and exploitation in regard to the health, safety, comfort, and well-being for the people we support by adhering to all related policies.
Ø Understand and follow agency and program policies and procedures. To act as a role model for the individuals / other service providers and members of the community. Advocate for the individuals’ rights when appropriate and necessary.
Ø Confidentiality: Respect the individual’s right to privacy by appropriate use of written and verbal information and follows all agency and OMRDD guidelines regarding confidentiality.
Ø Meetings / In-service Training: Attend weekly staff meetings to plan objectives for each individual's Individualized Service Plan, and to discuss and develop viable solution to problems and needs concerning staff, and the day-to-day operations of the residence. To attend all mandatory in-service training.
Ø Work with individuals on residential habilitation allowable services in accordance to established frequencies and adheres to documentation standards. Complete res hab daily checklist, res hab recording form and data sheet, and complete daily note. Implement provided services as outlined in the residential habilitation plan. Assist with the completion of annual assessments as assigned. Report any concerns regarding individuals to the Program Manager.
Ø Record Keeping: Assist in maintaining records concerning the operation of the residence and the individual files. Perform all documentary requirements.
Ø Medications: Administer medications and medical treatments as prescribed by a physician when needed if med certified.
Ø Transportation: Assist individuals in going to appointments, i.e. medical, dental, etc. when needed.
Ø Assist In: Grocery shopping, banking, maintaining cleanliness of the residence.
Ø Adheres to all agency policies and procedures.
Ø Promote and adhere to all elements of the Agency’s Corporate Compliance and HIPAA policies.
Ø Maintain and promote confidentiality in accordance with Agency policy.
Ø Comply with all aspects of the Agency’s Safety Policy.
Ø Serve on Agency committees as assigned.
Ø Attend meetings as dictated by your job responsibilities and/or as assigned.
Ø Attend and complete all mandatory training.
Ø Adhere to scheduled hours and submit completed timesheets to supervisor on time each payroll period.

Qualifications:
The following qualifications are the minimum requirements necessary to perform the essential functions of the job.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Ø Ability to work independently and function as a team member with a wide range of people.
Ø Ability to work flexible schedules which may include evenings and weekends.
Ø Ability to communicate effectively.
Ø Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting individuals.
Ø May require lifting and carrying items up to 50 pounds.
Ø Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
Education and Experience
Any combination equivalent to education and experience that provides the required knowledge and skills.
Typical qualifications would be equivalent to:
Ø High School Diploma or GED, Valid NYS Driver License.
Ø Ability to drive an agency vehicle.
- Ability to obtain CPR and First Aid Certification.
