Position Overview
The Behavior Technician position involves providing person-centered support to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities, collaborating closely with a Behavioral Intervention Specialist (BIS) to ensure that behavioral and medication monitoring plans are regularly reviewed, updated, and implemented according to state regulations. The role includes collecting data for Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA), tracking updates within Therap, and conducting ongoing training for direct care staff on Behavior Support Plans (BSP) and Medication Health Management Plans (MHMP). Additionally, the position acts as a liaison between BIS and direct care staff, offering proactive support, role modeling, and observing behaviors, while ensuring compliance with regulatory timelines. The individual will assist with obtaining informed consents, attend program meetings, and may be required to move between different programs or residences as needed.
Work Location: Ontario County, NY
Schedule: Full-time; M-F 8-4; Flexibility in schedule required to meet agency needs. Some evening shifts could be required.

Requirements
- Bachelor Degree preferred in human services or related field, with minimum of three years' experience utilizing behavior support plans; an Associates' Degree with an acceptable combination of education and experience, or seven years' experience working directly with ID/DD is required.
- Basic Microsoft Word, Excel is preferred.
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities is required.
