Summer Lifeguard / Day Camp Counselor
THE ARC WESTCHESTER IS HIRING FOR THE SUMMER!
The Arc Westchester’s Lifeguard/Camp Counselor is a Certified Lifeguard who is responsible for leading and implementing activities and programs in a small group setting for Individuals with Developmental and Intellectual Disabilities (in addition to swimming). Our Counselors provide safe, quality, indoor and outdoor recreational experiences for our Individuals in-line with the agency’s Mission and Vision Statements.
The 6-week program runs from June 19 through July 3 and takes place at Manhattanville College (in Purchase). You’ll take part in activities such as music, sports, theatre, swimming, hiking, art and computer skills (just to name a few). Hours are M-F from 8:30am – 4:30pm. Pay rate is $17/hour.
Prior experience working with Developmentally and Intellectually Disabled Individuals is not required, but a true desire to provide them with a fantastic Summer experience is! Counselor training will be provided. Driver’s License preferred (but not required).
