Office Assistant
St. Bridget of Sweden Parish – Cheshire, CT
St. Bridget of Sweden is seeking a part-time office assistant, sixteen hours per week, to assist with the assignment of tasks for the Parish Office.
The office assistant will work in Rectory office, Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday afternoons, hours negotiable. Duties will include answering the phones, book mass intentions, funerals, and baptisms; email, file, and copy documents; perform basic data entry work; help organize parish records; and general office duties.
Qualified candidates must have excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, willingness to work collaboratively, and possess good computer skills in Microsoft Office; have the ability to adapt to varied work situations, and have excellent phone etiquette.
Candidates must understand and be committed to the social, moral and ethical teachings of the Church; and be able to keep confidences of those who seek the office for assistance.
A high school degree is required, and previous office experience would be a plus.
