BASIC FUNCTIONS |
In addition to daily responsibilities and duties, the Shipping & Receiving Associate will support tasks and initiatives as assigned by the Manager. Assist the manager in picking product and preparing it for same day shipping both nationally and internationally via expedited carrier services.
Working in a food manufacturing environment, employee must follow all established Company policies and procedures, primarily GMP & SQF guidelines. Ability to perform, but not limited to, the essential duties and responsibilities outlined below. Familiarity with and ability to interpret packing slips as well as acknowledge receipt of the goods into the purchase order.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
Position also includes, but is not limited to the following:
· Must be able to fill out bills of lading and be familiar with various forms that are used and required by freight carriers.
· Must be familiar with proper packaging methods and able to interpret visual aids used to convey specific packaging requirements.
· Must be familiar with the most common material handling equipment and must be a licensed forklift truck operator.
· Support the shipment of goods produced and the receipt of raw materials and other supplies to be used in, or to aid in, the production and storage of goods destined for sale to our customer base.
· Must report defective materials or questionable conditions to the department manager.
· Maintain the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations.

· Solid verbal and written communication skills and 2 to 3 years of relevant experience.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office to include Power Point, Excel, and Word a must.
· Must be detailed oriented, organized and ability to multitask.

·Spanish language skills a plus but not required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS |
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. · High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and one year of manufacturing related experience in shipping and receiving
· 1 year of stand up fork truck experience
· Knowledge of the English language with basic reading and writing skills, follow verbal instructions and ability to use simple mathematics
· Basic computer skills a must
· Ability to operate forklift standup equipment
· Ability to perform inventory
· Ability to work weekends when required and flexible with schedule changes
· Ability to work in cold environment (-10 below zero)
· Certification in forklift operating procedures
