Overview
The Assistant Armorer will assist the LOGSUPPU-2 Civilian Armorer in day-to-day Armory operations.
- This position is contingent upon contract award.
- Must possess a SECRET Security Clearance
- Conducts assessments and required repairs to all CWS to include depot-level repairs to applicable systems.
- Assists in CWS inventory, storage, receipt, issue, and movements to meet all security and safety regulations.
- Have thorough knowledge of the principles of operation, disassembly/reassembly procedures and troubleshooting of NSW and SOCOM specific weapons, Visual Augmentation Systems (VAS) and weapon accessories from here to be referred to as Combat Weapons Systems (CWS).
- Must meet Lautenberg Amendment (Gun Control Act of 1968) requirements.
- Must be prepared to complete the Naval Special Warfare Enhanced Organizational Level Armorer Course upon soonest available opening.
- Must be able to lift items up to 75 lbs.
- Must have at least three years' experience repairing small arms.
- Possess a valid state driver's license.
- Be able to operate a Personal Computer (PC) with common/standard business software programs.
- Be proficient in Microsoft Office applications to include Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Be able to communicate clearly and effectively with others, both verbally and in writing.
- Be able to enter data into multiple databases accurately.
