What are the responsibilities and job description for the Aircraft Cabinet Installer position at The Ascent Group, Inc.?
Wire and assemble aircraft cabinets and associated components/wire switch panels and various aircraft overhead and cabinet panels. Troubleshoot and repair as needed using common hand tools, electrical tools, and test instruments.
High school diploma or GED
- Able to use all hand tools, electrical crimping tools, and soldering tools.
- Must have minimum of two (2) years experience in the use of volt/ohm meters and other test instruments.
- Must have minimum of three (3) years avionics/electrical experience or equivalent education.
- Able to define wire colors and have hand/eye coordination to perform job as required. * Able to interpret and follow complex wiring diagrams, blue prints, charts, and schematics.
- Able to demonstrate soldering skills in compliance with inspection procedures manual, parts manufacturing quality control manual, and applicable FED standards
- Able to work in a confined space.
- Able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation
- Must have visual capacity and muscular dexterity to secure harnesses with clamps and other devices and to work on fine detail, high cost products with a minimum of errors and rework
