SUMMARY:
Are you a people-focused current student interested in a career in Human Resources? We are looking for an intern to provide administrative support to our Human Resources team, focusing on the summer employee hire process. You will gain valuable experience focused in the areas of Recruitment and Onboarding. You will work closely with the Human Resources Generalist, who will supervise the daily duties of this position.
WHAT YOU WILL DO:
Administer, maintain, and organize all new hire paperwork, including online submissions and in-person forms, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time.
Communicate regularly with seasonal staff regarding incomplete new hire paperwork.
Input data into the camp management and communication system.
Interact comfortably and effectively with seasonal camp staff, camp directors and other JCC staff.
Perform other duties as required or directed.
WHO YOU ARE:
High School diploma required, College degree in process. Focus on Human Resources a plus
Ability to effectively communicate to a wide range of audiences
Ability to work on projects and meet deadlines
Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Competent working with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and other Windows software.
Comfortable learning new software
High degree of organization and attention to detail
PHYSICAL SKILLS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
The work environment is usually fast paced. This job requires high energy and interaction with staff. During the summer, the noise level in the work environment can be moderate to loud.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stand.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Salary (or Salary Range): $16/hour
