Are you an HR professional with a passion for fostering a positive workplace culture? Jewish Community Services (JCS) is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead our HR operations, ensuring compliance, supporting staff development, and driving strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of HR, including employee relations, recruitment, compliance, benefits administration, and staff development.
  • Mediate staff concerns, implement performance improvement plans, and promote a supportive workplace culture.
  • Lead recruitment efforts, ensuring smooth onboarding and retention strategies.
  • Ensure organizational compliance with employment laws and reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with leadership to align HR strategies with organizational goals.
  • Manage employee benefits, open enrollment, and leave requests, providing clear guidance to staff.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Proven HR Leadership: At least 5 years of HR management experience, preferably in a nonprofit or community-focused setting. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master’s preferred).
  • Strong Knowledge of Jewish Customs & Traditions: Familiarity with Jewish workplace practices, holidays, and values is essential to supporting our mission and staff.
  • Expertise in Compliance & Employee Relations: A solid understanding of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Excellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build trust, mediate concerns, and provide clear guidance to employees at all levels.
