Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging general music lessons for Kindergarten to 5th grade, focusing on exploration, creation, process to performance, and developmentally appropriate music literacy.
- Develop age-appropriate curricula that align with school standards and incorporate diverse musical genres and cultures.
- Utilize various teaching methods, including singing, movement, and instrument playing.
- Plan and lead grade-level performances throughout the year.
- Conduct and direct the Lower School choir, preparing students for performances and special events.
- Select appropriate repertoire that reflects the interests and abilities of the choir members.
- Organize regular rehearsals and communicate effectively with students and families regarding schedules and performances.
- Assessment and Evaluation
Assess and communicate student progress, providing constructive feedback to support individual growth in music skills.
Collaborate with faculty across disciplines to integrate music into the broader curriculum.
Stay current with best practices in music education and pursue opportunities for professional growth.
Requirements

The pay range for the position is $62,100 - $118,200. Colorado Academy reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range. Any discrepancies that may exist do not relate to sex.
