Job Requirements
The Leader in Training (LIT) will be responsible for completing operations and management skills training, and learning about key aspects of the Aubuchon Hardware business and culture. The MIT will assist and be under the supervision of the Store Manager, overseeing location team members at all levels to ensure quality customer service, retain and develop team members, and maintain a store that is clean, safe, and well-stocked to fulfill our customer’s project needs.
- Support the Store Manager in delivering consistent results in sales, service, and profitability through operational excellence.
- Ensure weekly price changes, monthly cycle counts, and loss reports are being completed.
- Provide top-tier customer service and product information on the store sales floor.
- Ensure effective expenses and payroll budgeting, while communicating business needs with the Regional Support Team.
- Interview, hire, verify documentation, onboard, resolve team member issues, deliver corrective action, and terminate team members in collaboration with the Regional HR Support Team and HR Support Center.
- Train and develop team members to be successful in their role to retain, grow, and build a strong talent bench for our next generation of store leaders.
Work Experience
- Ability to Relocate Required.
- A high school diploma or equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities are required.
- 1 years of merchandising and operational experience preferred.
- 1 years of leadership experience in a retail environment preferred.
- 2 years of retail experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible, minimum 40-hour weekly schedule.
- Ability to interpret sales reporting documents.
- Experience leveraging sales and profit opportunities through shrink management and safety performance.
- Knowledge of Benjamin Moore Paint and paint color matching preferred.
- Strong leadership, customer service, and organizational skills with a positive and professional personality.
- Must be able to lift up to 80 pounds. Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
