The Axel Group is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to join our client's team in Ocean County, NJ. They are a well-known firm specializing in high-end landscaping and hardscaping. They have been in business for over 35 years and service clients throughout multiple states in the Northeast!

Responsibilities:
- Manage all aspects of Human Resources, Payroll, and Benefits for a large multi-state landscaping business with approximately 400 employees (in season)
- Oversee and guide two HR staff members
- Participate as a member of the leadership team driving profitable growth throughout the organization
- Recruit and retain necessary personnel needed for office and field operations via annual H2A & H2B VISA programs and other recruiting channels
- Spearhead training and employee development initiatives geared towards the needs of specific departments
- Work with Fleet Manager and other personnel on company-wide safety programs/manual
- Implement policies and procedures to make HR related tasks more effective and efficient
- Team lead on various “motivation & moral” events
- Other projects/tasks as deemed necessary by the Owners and CFO
Requirements:
- Superior employee service skills with excellent email/telephone etiquette
- Able to communicate in a clear and professional manner (written and verbal)
- Minimum 7 years of experience managing all aspects of HR, Payroll, and Benefits
- Bachelor’s degree in related field
- Minimum 2 years of experience using ADP payroll
- Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to assist where needed
- Able to work independently as well as part of a diverse team
- Must be organized and accustomed to working in a fast-paced environment
- Able to balance a variety of tasks simultaneously and transition from task to task quickly
- Knowledge of, or experience in, Landscaping and Construction industries preferred but not required

Pay: $90,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
