Leading distributor of specialty foods based in Holtsville, NY is seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join their team.
The ideal candidate has 2 years of Accounts Payable experience who is a proactive and self-driven professional to handle accounting and clerical tasks associated with the accurate management and processing of accounts payable transactions.
The position is 5 days in the office paying up to $65K and the company would like to interview ASAP.
Responsibilities
- Review, verify, code, and approve all invoices and check requests
- Perform 3-Way Matching of invoices, purchase orders, and receiving reports before processing (REQUIRED)
- Ensure timely payment processing, taking advantage of available discounts
- Complete accounts payable data entry tasks
- Maintain well-organized accounts payable records and file them in a timely manner
- Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and issues
- Match invoices to checks before signing, ensuring each check is supported by the necessary documentation and approvals (REQUIRED)
- Address vendor inquiries and resolve disputes
- Assist with special accounting and finance projects as needed
- Provide support to the Client Services team
