Baer is looking for Oracle EBS General Ledger & Accounting Functional Lead for a 12-month Federal remote project.

Title : Oracle EBS General Ledger & Accounting Functional Lead

Description :

• Lead and manage a functional team for the implementation and support of Oracle EBS General Ledger (GL) and Accounting modules.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their business requirements and provide expert advice on solution design and process improvements.
• Lead Conference Room Pilots (CRPs) and perform fit / gap analysis to ensure the Oracle EBS solution meets business needs while adhering to industry best practices.
• Provide functional leadership in designing and implementing Oracle EBS General Ledger & Accounting solutions (GL, AR, AP, Assets, Intercompany / Interagency) for end-to-end financial processes.
• Hands-on configuration of Oracle EBS General Ledger, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), Assets, and Intercompany / Interagency modules.
• Manage testing and release processes, including functional and integration testing, issue resolution, and deployment of Oracle EBS accounting solutions.
• Identify, triage, and resolve issues and defects within the General Ledger and Accounting modules, ensuring smooth functionality and minimal disruption to business operations.
• Develop, review, and manage training materials to support end-user adoption and provide ongoing training sessions.
• Provide functional issue triage and resolution support during Data Conversion efforts to ensure accurate and complete data migration into Oracle EBS.
• Ensure the successful creation and management of client deliverables according to the project timeline and requirements.
• Collaborate with the functional, development, technical, and security teams to design and deploy comprehensive end-to-end Oracle EBS solutions that support the finance and accounting functions.

Requirements :

• Extensive experience with Oracle EBS General Ledger (GL) and other core accounting modules (AR, AP, Assets, Intercompany / Interagency).
• Proven experience leading end-to-end implementations of Oracle EBS accounting solutions, from requirements gathering through deployment and support.
• Strong knowledge of finance processes, including GL, AR, AP, Fixed Assets, and Intercompany / Interagency accounting.
• Expertise in Oracle EBS configuration and testing, particularly in GL and accounting-related modules.
• Conference Room Pilot (CRP) experience and the ability to perform fit / gap analysis to optimize system solutions and ensure alignment with business objectives.
• Hands-on experience in release management and deployment of Oracle EBS modules.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to quickly identify, triage, and resolve issues and defects related to Oracle EBS.
• Ability to develop training materials and deliver training sessions to users to ensure the smooth adoption of the system.
